La republicana titular Marjorie Taylor Greene , que había representado al distrito desde 2021, fue elegida con el 74,7% de los votos en 2020. [1] Greene se postuló para la reelección después de ganar un desafío legal a su elegibilidad basado en su presunta participación en la organización y promoción del ataque al Capitolio de los Estados Unidos de 2021 , con base en la Decimocuarta Enmienda de la Constitución de los Estados Unidos , que prohíbe a las personas que han participado en la insurrección servir en el Congreso.
