El Tuska Open Air Metal Festival , comúnmente abreviado como Tuska ( en finlandés : dolor, agonía ), es un festival de heavy metal finlandés que se celebra anualmente en Helsinki . El primer Tuska tuvo lugar en 1998 y desde entonces el festival ha ido creciendo cada año. La ubicación del festival ha sido en el parque Kaisaniemi en el centro de la ciudad desde 2001. Sin embargo, desde 2011, Tuska se lleva a cabo en el campo de eventos Suvilahti en el barrio de Kalasatama del distrito de Sörnäinen . Las fechas del festival siempre han sido en junio o julio.
En los últimos años la asistencia ha crecido y el festival ha atraído a 63.000 personas en 2023. [2] En 2006, el festival estaba casi agotado y en un total combinado de tres días, 33.000 asistentes llegaron para ver a 32 artistas, incluidos, por ejemplo, Anathema , Celtic Frost , Opeth , Sodom , Venom y los propios finlandeses Amorphis y Sonata Arctica .
