Notes

  1. ^ On April 4, 2017, Entravision announced that it had sold WJAL's broadcast bandwidth in the incentive auction for $25.4 million (Steve Ullom, executive vice president of the station, stated that the spectrum sale price totaled $26.7 million); in the FCC filing on the sale, Entravision indicated that WJAL would enter into a post-auction channel sharing agreement; it later announced on July 28, that WJAL would enter into a channel-sharing agreement with CBS affiliate WUSA (channel 9), moving its transmitter facilities to that station's transmission tower in the Tenleytown section of northwest Washington and transfer its city of license to Silver Spring, Maryland. WJAL temporarily ceased operations at midnight on September 30, 2017, and resumed operations from the Tenleytown tower on October 1 as an interim affiliate of LATV until a future affiliation is announced (Entravision had been agitating for years to move WJAL to the capital's core to replace low-power WMDO-CD as an affiliate of UniMás).[610][611][612][613][614]
