heya, I'm Melecie! pronounced /ˈmɛˌlɛsɪ/ or /mɛˈlɛsɪ/, or even [meɾeɕi]. I focus on Recent Changes patrol, Teahouse hosting, answering mentorship questions and occasional bits of Wikignome activity. I don't focus on content creation as much (I have created zero articles in mainspace), I like to do the little things for more people in here. I've been considered a friendly guy[by whom?] as well!
if you have a question about me or my reverts, please forward it to my talk page. if you have general questions, feel free to ask there as well, or direct it to the Teahouse. we won't bite, I promise!
outside Wikipedia, you can find me pretty much everywhere: I'm active in lots of YouTube comments sections, Reddita, Github, and probably lots of other sites. I sometimes use the names SoaPuffball (named after characters from YouTube shows Battle for Dream Island and Inanimate Insanity, neither of which have an article yet despite probably numerous amounts to create them with the former being salted), IridescentClairvoyancie (Iridescent and Clairvoyance, two words that I like, plus Diancie), and MelecieDiancie (which is the original, longer form of my current username). I am active in Discord using melecie
, and while I don't use IRC often (I usually only login to report revision deletable stuff), I usually use Melecie
.
I use UTC+8 (not stating which country though!) and may be active anytime between 0:00 and 14:00 UTC (8:00 and 10:00 UTC+8). I also have horribly consistent activity, which means I can be extremely active for a month only to lapse to ~25 in the next few.
happy editing!
I'm just a human, which means I've definitely made mistakes. and besides, since Wikipedia is so complex, it can take the time for one to get the hang of everything here. some of these mistakes and dumb stuff include:
"I don't usualy"in mw:Reading/Web/Desktop Improvements/Fourth prototype testing: link
color:
tag which made it useless (which I thought worked because the link was purple like I expected it, but that's because I view my talk page and viewed links are purple), but had that tag worked, it would've made that link illegible!A random reading list of pages I found while browsing Wikipedia, reading Did You Know, or patrolling Recent Changes. most of them are not from that Wikipedia list, since everyone already knows about that.
