Hola.

Image source problem with File:Bucharest,Street of Rădășeni.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Bucharest,Street of Rădășeni.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:41, 30 August 2020 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:41, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of File:View of Rădășeni.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:View of Rădășeni.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://ziarullumina.ro/societate/reportaj/radaseni-satul-muzeu-de-la-portile-bucovinei-107245.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I was blocked because of copyright violation

Dear Sirs, I was blocked because of copyright violation.

I would like to inform you that as a beginner in Wikipedia, I have not realized the great importance of this deviation.

In addition, some of the photos refused were actually taken by the undersigned, and yet removed, not knowing where and how to complain.

Other photos, being published on the internet, I asked them from the owners of the publications themselves, and sent them to me separately. The large number of rejections is also due to the lack of knowledge from the beginning of the references to the base, or even photos taken by the undersigned, but not registered as such.

Another, that I wasn't organized enough, to classify the pictures that were turned down in different folders. And sometimes the insistence with which I tried to resend the pictures. Indeed, some of them have been resumed disallowed, and I apologize.

Those were   major reason for the large number of refusals. Please unlock me, fully understanding the importance of copyright infringement. I want to complete a work started many months ago, before I sign up for Wikipedia

With thanks and respect, Dealuri Dealuri (talk) 14:06, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 17:14, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll use free copyright on Wikipedia, except "fair use"

Organizing and classifying pictures in good order, when an accidentally incorrect picture will be posted and will be deleted due to violation-so as not to repeat it.

Can you please bring the work with the contents to the date of the blockage? There have been many retouching small things that no longer appear.

In the continuation of the previous request for un-block, I make further arguments re copyright:

Even copying a text with some changes, can be infringement of property rights, if there are similarities as a paraphrase close to, such a situation is serious, because copyright infringements not only harm Wikipedia, but also create legal problems.

That's why it's necessary and I understand this, like any action taken on Wikipedia, to reflect the productive contribution of the undersigned, and not with such violations, which unfortunately, I made.

Dealuri at utrs and unblock discussion

Carrying over from UTRS appeal #34757--

In summar ,I will follow the rule: In principal, using own picture/video, creation. Use : images, photographs, video and sound files, like written works, explicitly been placed in the public domain For permission to use non-free content , I will contact the owner , asking to send a e-mail special permission, making a note of that fact and use under the conditions given by the copyright holder Fair use exceptions being ill-defined, and at this stage of newcomer, I will avoid to use. However, for verification - looking on image description page, review page footer, page history, discussion page . I will verify for freely compatibly licensed (text with CC BY -SA 3.0) or public domain If I import media under a compatible license which requires attribution, I will credit the author. If original source contains a copyright disclaimer or other indicate free for use, a link to it is enough . I cite its sources by link to copyrighted material I will use quotations I never use materials that infringe the copyrights of others . In doubt, not use, or I write the content myself. I will reformulate the concepts in my own words, make distinction between summary and abridgment . Many thank you

@Deepfriedokra: copying my reply from my talk page to here: If you're comfortable with unblocking, you're welcome to. I'm still a little worried about allowing them to upload as they definitely did a lot of that in a little time it seems, but their statement does seem to hit the important parts of copyright. Looking again at their uploads, I feel like the bulk may have been outside project scope as well. Perhaps a restriction from the File domain to begin is something to consider. only (talk) 10:27, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm obviously, not the blocking admin. In my opinion, this does not show a clear understanding of WP:FAIRUSE. Fair-use is notoriously hard to understand, though. I'd support unblocking with a restriction from the File namespace. I do not support an unblock otherwise, but don't object if someone else wants to do so. WP:ROPE could certainly apply, so long as someone can keep an eye on the uploads. --Yamla (talk) 10:33, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
My repleis, carried over from UTRS appeal #34757

deepfriedokra 2020-09-24 13:07:43I've copied the summarized unblock request. You should read the discussion there. Will likely restore talk page access so you can request unblocking there. There are concerns. It will be best if you agree to avoid file uploads for a while. There is also a concern with your proficiency in English-- it might not be sufficient for encyclopedia building. If you have an English language spell checker, it would be best to spell check everything before posting. (I have tremors and am a little dyslexic, I run a lot of my posts through a spell checker first.) Awaiting futher responses from other admins.

deepfriedokra 2020-09-24 13:52:44 Yeah, definitely need to agree to not upload any more files without seeking feedback on the advisability of the upload.

deepfriedokra 2020-09-24 15:43:36 If you upload images, they should be uploaded to commons.wikimedia.org and should only be images taken by you.

Request reason:

Dear Sirs,

It's been two weeks since I applied for un-block and no administrator has made a decision -(Decline stale).

1. Understand what I have been blocked for : copyright violation -(which is a license similar to the contract) by uploading  several pictures :not specifying the copyright status ; copyrighted  taken from other web sites ;

At the time of violation, as a beginner, not understood such regulations, and more, that Wikipedia's editing policy applies to all pages, including sandbox (where article it was under construction).

Definitely and deeply learned from my mistakes and agree to not  upload any more files without seeking feedback on the advisability of the upload .

If I upload images, at this stage- will be uploaded to commons.wikimedia.org and  only be images taken by myself.

2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption , but obey and follow Wikipedia law/policy:

-A person who creates a work, becomes its owner - not to copyright violate.

Wikipedia is subject to US copyright law in this matter and may not host material which infringes US copyright law.

Fair use exceptions being ill-defined, notoriously hard to understand , i will not use .

3.Will make useful contributions instead.

Regarding  uploads project  I will improve it, to be in line with the severe demands of the encyclopedia:

Reduce sentences to the essentials. Wordiness does not add credibility to Wikipedia articles. Vigorous, effective writing is clear and concise.

Not  try to convince the reader of anything, only to provide the salient facts as best they can be determined, and the reliable sources for them.

Present the sourced information without embellishment, agenda, fanfare, cleverness, or conversational tone.

Copyediting involves the "five Cs":  clear, correct, concise, comprehensible,  consistent.

Eliminate expressions that are flattering, disparaging, vague, clichéd, or endorsing of a particular viewpoint.

Use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Very important to say it in my own words.

I cite its sources by link to copyrighted material I will use quotations I never use materials that infringe the copyrights of others . In doubt, not use, or I write the content myself. I will reformulate the concepts in my own words, make distinction between summary and abridgment .

However, always new article or contribution to stub article, will be work on sandbox, then  I'll ask for help from an administrator to check, to see if it's ripe for the main page . I will never post directly, without checking.

@Widr, Yamla, NinjaRobotPirate, Only, Deepfriedokra, and Rosguill: I think the above shows that Dealuri has read the relevant policies and guidelines, and would most likely make a good-faith effort to adhere to them if unblocked. However, reading the policies is different from understanding them, and there is also a language barrier in this case. What are your thoughts on unblocking Dealuri in all namespaces expect the File namespace (implemented as a partial block)? — Newslinger talk 05:57, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I didn't check the rest of it, but compare this:
  • Wikipedia:Basic copyediting: Copyediting involves the "five Cs": making the article clear, correct, concise, comprehensible, and consistent.
  • Unblock request: Copyediting involves the "five Cs":  clear, correct, concise, comprehensible,  consistent.
  • Wikipedia:Writing better articles: Reduce sentences to the essentials. Wordiness does not add credibility to Wikipedia articles.
  • Unblock request: Reduce sentences to the essentials. Wordiness does not add credibility to Wikipedia articles. Vigorous, effective writing is clear and concise.
I'm not sure this person understands the concept of writing in your own words. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 06:14, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good point. Dealuri, instead of copying and pasting your unblock request from other pages, could you please paraphrase this text in your own words? We just want to see some evidence that you are able to paraphrase text. — Newslinger talk 06:20, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gentlemen, thanks for the advice.

Regarding your various opinions: I have not hidden that the information given to you, I have selected them from several articles, including the Copyright, without passing them through my words.

I wanted to prove that I read them, but I understood them. The amount of information is immense, on the   background of the main Encyclopedia pages (over 6 million articles)  is another Encyclopedia full of information, which I strive with my strength to learn as deeply as possible, especially the copyrighted part, both texts and photos.

This, on the one hand that the site of Wikipedia is in the US, and is subject to the draconian rules there, on the other hand, for the sake of order.

I was asked what it means to "in my words"-paraphrasing/rephrasing : : a good example is a poem/poetry transcribed  into prose,( apply also to any author text )  becomes a new work, derivative, independent, but which, necessarily, must assign to the primary source, who wrote it- citation or link. The modification must be sufficiently enough to consider separate work- which implies a developed vocabulary and a sufficient culture ( as a result of a deep reading in the past, which, forgive my lack of modesty only in this case, I consider to have accumulated).

In the case of citation of an exact sentence from an author, it is done by "quotes ", including if there is any original mistake, with  [sic]

I will avoid poor paraphrasing of a material from a source, exposed in my own words, and I will add the source/author. Without this attribution, it can be plagiarism.

Translations are also separate, derivative  works, but equally, mandatory, must be indicated the original source,/author, even Wikipedia article, which is under copyleft license.

Regarding the pictures, I clearly understood their meaning in the context and importance of copyright, as I have written in many previous messages. And I will abide by the rule "zero tolerance".

In case you unblock me, and kindly ask this , the works posted on the sandbox, I will ask for your help to be checked before being placed on the main page.

The existed work on the sandbox, called "Radaseni", which has been deleted, (I'll pray to me back) I think it has some elements of good behavior, with the inherent mistakes of the very beginner, can be seen by you . I worked on it for two months, but basically the information I gathered over a period of over a  year.

Realize I still have a lot to learn, like a driver who takes his license and knows very little.

Regarding editing article/stub, in summary, an article must be clear and concise, without unnecessary words, every word to express something, the shorter a sentence, the deeper it becomes.< William Strunk, Jr. from the 1918 work, The Elements of Style https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/6437238.William_Strunk_><https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Dealuri/Wikipedia:Writing_better_articles>

Hello Dealuri. Having reviewed your contributions to Wikipedia, combined with your several unblock requests here, I am sorry but I have to agree with my colleagues that you don't at the moment have the appropriate skills and knowledge to edit this encyclopaedia. Your edits are quite harmful. Though we do boast that Wikipedia is "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit" we do require that editors have sufficient competence. However, that I am declining your request now, doesn't mean you can never edit Wikipedia. After waiting at least six months, you can make another appeal. I would strongly suggest that such an appeal should be very short, and that in your appeal you agree not to upload any images or files. If your appeal is granted, it may include an agreement that you could appeal the restriction on uploading images and files after six months of productive and trouble free editing has passed. Image source problem with File:His Father in 1916 - 36 old.jpeg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:His Father in 1916 - 36 old.jpeg.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:32, 4 February 2021 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
