Edits to EG White

Thanks for your welcoming message - but I did not quite understand it. I see that you removed my attempt to place the discussion about criticisms and responses in a less dichotomous context, and your note suggests I more closely observe NPOV, but I would appreciate understanding what aspects of my comment you saw as POV. I gladly submit to the better wisdom of the group on how to communicate this, but I think it is important to include in the article the fact that there is a variety of views of EGW and her visions both within the SDA membership and within the academic community. As currently written the article gives the impressions that all members who value EGW reject all criticisms, which is simply inaccurate.

I apologize if I did not sign my comments on the discussion page for EGW - I thought that I had.

Also, I think you should add the reference to *The White Lie* to the footnotes. Gogh 18:22, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. I have not yet mastered the finer points of wiki editing. I noted that I had not properly referenced my contribution in my discussion post and provided the reference information hoping someone else could do it before I figured out how.
I note now that someone has reverted my edit, and the EGW article again has the Rea book coming before the Numbers book. This is clearly an error. Whoever reverted this did not explain the action, so I don't understand why they did it. When I have time I will see if I can fix it, but you might want to look into it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gogh (talk • contribs) 07:27, August 24, 2006

Seventh Day Adventist Template

Hi NotBob, Sorry, but I'm technically hopeless when it comes to things like sophisticated templates! You may want to ask User:Kingboyk (Beatles project) or User:Kirill Lokshin (Military History), they were largely responsible for writing the fancier templates. However, your list looks just fine to me - can you tell me what the problem is? Thanks for using the bot, Walkerma 20:03, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You reverted my edit on the sandbox! :)

Please refrain from removing nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the sandbox. It isn't considered vandalism. If you don't like to experiment, use some other article. --200.118.163.92 00:05, 30 August 2006 (UTC) :)[reply]

Just a reply

Hi NotBob. I'm just replying to your invitation, which I just found. I haven't looked at my pages for ages. I'm not too familiar with the ins and outs of wikipedia, but if I can be of help, I'd be glad to do so. Stefanbs 03:17, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Admin coaching

Hello! Back in May you signed up for admin coaching. You're now at the top of the request list. Do you still want it? Petros471 22:04, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, admin coaching would still be useful. Thank you for asking. MyNameIsNotBob 23:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, your coaches are Lar and myself. We usually ask you to set up an admin coaching subpage (e.g. User:MyNameIsNotBob/Admin coaching), where we can talk about what you want out of the program, what areas you need advice in etc. Petros471 08:53, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm happy with the subpage idea. Sounds good. What do you want me to put on there? A starting point would be good. Thanks. MyNameIsNotBob 09:18, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've taken the liberty of creating that page (with it's associated talk page), mostly by recycling elements from previous admin coaching sessions I've helped with. See you over there! Petros471 09:43, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
With a bit more recycling, there is some more for you to be taking a look at on your admin coaching page :) Petros471 20:18, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3ABN forum links

I would appreciate it if you could look into the issue on the talk page. IMO the user, at least from their username, has been setup just to link to the commentary on the forum. Thanks, Ansell 07:05, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

G'day!

Hi NotBob! I recently stumbled upon Wikipedia's SDA articles, and couldn't help noticing that there was plenty that I could contribute. (I have lots of personal knowledge about the SDA church, having been brought up in an SDA family, and have done heaps of research into SDA doctrine). I've also noticed that you have been very involved with these articles, with Wikiproject SDA church, and are an aspiring editor. I'd be delighted if you could comment on my recent contributions, particularly to the investigative judgment, Seventh-day Adventist doctrine and Eschatology (Adventist) articles. Feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. cheers,Tonicthebrown 14:14, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion of WP:A-League

Hi MyNameIsNotBob,

Just thought I'd let you know there is currently a proposal to expand WikiProject A-League to include all areas of football/soccer in Australia, including the NSL, A-League, Socceroos, state leagues and more. A more formal proposal page can be found here. Please indicate whether you support the idea or not at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject A-League, and also add your 2c about what the new project should be called. Cheers! – AlbinoMonkey (Talk) 04:13, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

E.Shubee

Hi, I'm E.Shubee's adopter. My main goal I set when adopting E.Shubee was to reach a compromise between all three parties involved in this while mentoring the obviously frustrated E.Shubee. I hope to be able to teach him how to meet his goals while still following policy. I'll do my best to keep personal attacks out of this. I would like to play the part of a neutral third party in this whole situation, while still giving advice to E.Shubee. I hope that we can get this matter resolved. Cheers, -- THLCCD 12:29, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Let us begin

I would like to get this problem solved ASAP, so let us begin the process. I would appreciate you stating your view of this dispute at User:The Hybrid/Dispute. Cheers, -- THLCCD 13:07, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for feedback on Hurdy gurdy

Hi MyNameIsNotBob.

About a year ago you were involved in a peer review of Hurdy gurdy in which you were fairly pessimistic (justifiably so) about the article as it then stood and you provided some useful feedback. Since then a number of people have put in a fair amount of work on the article, and I would be interested in your feedback on the article now versus then. If you could take a few minues to look at it again and provide feedback on the appropriate peer review page, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. +Fenevad 00:05, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help

I am posting this at a couple other pages. I have to be careful and not break the WP:3RR on Seventh-day Adventist Church‎ because of some biased edits. I would like to ask a few of you to help monitor it. I've basically been following protocol of other pages I edit. The editors will not allow links unless they lend value to the article and I am sticking to this with the Adventist article as well. There is a current discussion, however two editors feel compelled to usurp the consensus and stick in their edits. If you wish to weigh in and keep control, I welcome it. I must step back as I wish to not break the 3RR rule. Thanks--Maniwar (talk) 03:19, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback for my user page

Hi MyNameIsNotBob,

I was wondering if you would give me some feedback about my user page. I am trying to develop it to be appealing in content and also aesthetically attractive. Writing about religious topics is always controversial, and I would like to know if you think anything would be offensive to anyone, or could be improved. I have also invited a few others. Please reply here. Cheers, Colin MacLaurin 13:53, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Hey, you all are being quiet on the Amazing Facts article and the articles talk page. Don't know if you've been watching, but I've been fighting a few POV edits and loaded sentences. Can you add anything to the conversations in lieu of a consensus? I think that would quell the issues. Thanks! --Maniwar (talk) 01:11, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've marked it as deprecated, meaning it'll be deleted in two weeks' time if nobody objects. I have been proven right!

I remember you not believing my testimony that the Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church is a hoax. You should then find this interesting: It appears that the Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church has admitted in court to only having three members. See Case 1:06-cv-01207-JDB Document 70 Filed 06/11/2008 page 3. Doesn't that prove the central thesis in Walter McGill and the Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church Hoax is true and therefore that Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church is not notable and therefore should be deleted? --e.Shubee (talk) 22:08, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:Cactushead

I have denied the unblock request. If you are interested in getting him unblocked, by all means, start a dialogue on his talk page. However, I highly doubt any admin would ever unblock a person based on a third-party's view. At the very least, if he is interested in not playing around, he can request an unblock. While the comment was juvenile, his other edits do not remotely indicate someone who wants to be an asset to the project. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:19, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And, there is absolutely no trolling involved with my dealings that very editor. If you recheck the users talk page, you'll see that I have replied to you on that talk page. —Mythdon (talk • contribs) 07:26, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello MyNameIsNotBob! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 710 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

I've added you to the page above to commemorate your work here, but if you don't want to be listed, please remove yourself and use an edit summary to state you would like to be left off (that way when someone checks your contributions to see if you can be added to the page that edit summary will always be at the top of the list and they won't bother adding you). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process.
