DRN

Hey,

You need to be very careful on what you post on the board and follow what it says. The DRN was just filed earlier today so we have to give them time. It is up to the person who filed to provide notification to the other parties not us as volunteers. We cannot force them to participate either. Also make sure you put your comments in the correct spots on the discussion (with the correct coding and signature) and follow the rules of how we handle these. I know you are a new editor so you need to make sure you are very familiar with the different aspects of Wikipedia as they relate to what we do. Also please do not hijack someone else’s DR as that one I have so this way you aren’t stepping on someone’s toes. If you have any questions please let me know by pinging me. I highly discourage you from taking on any DR at this time as you have only had your account 11 days so a lot of people may question what you say. Cagayan Heritage Conservation Society

Hi, have closed the two AFDs you started for the above article as they were malformed and because it is accepted practice to wait at least six months from an AfD resulting in keep before re-nominating, whereas it was less than a month in this case. DRN on China / American Trade War

Hey- I saw you volunteered to mediate this discussion... I just wanted to let you know this is the second time in as many months this exact dispute has been brought up on the DRN. Last time- there was an open case at WP:ANI at the same time so the dispute was closed early. The same filing editor is here again, and... I wish you luck. Well if you are going to bring up that ANI case, then it really would have helped if you gave the entire story of what happened. The incident resulted in no violations against me; more importantly, I've learned key lessons from that discussion - you'll note that I haven't been making any demands for the other involved editors to not "jump the line" nor have I been making any reverts outside of WP:BRD. It's true, this is the second time in as many months this same dispute has been brought up on the DRN - and in both cases it's in response to unilateral actions that other editors have made...which I obviously cannot control. This isn't a matter of blame: it's just a statement of fact. I don't know if this is possible but maybe it would be better if you moderated the US-China trade war DR discussion - aside from having the knowledge of the background issues at play, I can demonstrate to you that I've actually claered up the conduct misunderstandings that I had in the first DRN that I filed. Of course you are free to reject this, but that for the record is my attempt to try and reduce the trust deficit between us. But if you are not willing to takeover the moderator position, then I would advise letting this dispute resolution process run its course. Reminder about reverts

Hello. Just a little friendly reminder when reverting problematic edits. It's good practice to get in the habit of making sure you are reverting to a good version. On two occasions recently here and here you reverted to revisions belonging to the same user you were reverting. It's cool. I noticed also you didn't leave any warnings on the IP's talk page and you are running Twinkle, which has some very handy features that make issuing warning templates rather easy. Not all editors issue warnings every time, but in this case the user appears to be a habitual vandal who for a while has been enjoying blanking pages and removing large chunks of content from templates, categories and Wikipedia namespace pages lately. They will probably get blocked anyway or move on to another IP address, but the warnings can help getting them blocked sooner sometimes. --DB1729 (talk) 03:39, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rejuvenate WikiProject Skepticism

Hello - my name is Susan Gerbic (Sgerbic) and I'm writing to you because at some point you joined Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism. This might have been months ago - or even years ago. With the best of intentions the project was created years ago, and sadly like many WikiProjects has started to go dormant. A group of us are attempting to revitalize the Skepticism project, already we have begun to clean up the main page and I've just redone the participant page. No one is in charge of this project, it is member directed, which might have been the reason it almost went dormant. We are attempting to bring back conversations on the talk page and have two subprojects as well, in the hopes that it might spark involvement and a way of getting to know each other better. One was created several years ago but is very well organized and a lot of progress was made, Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism/Skeptical organisations in Europe. The other I created a couple weeks ago, it is very simple and has a silly name Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism/Skepticism Stub Sub-Project Project (SSSPP). This sub-project runs from March 1 to June 1, 2022. We are attempting to rewrite skepticism stubs and add them to this list. As you can see we have already made progress.

The reason I'm writing to you now is because we would love to have you come back to the project and become involved, either by working on one of the sub-projects, proposing your own (and managing it), or just hanging out on the talk page getting to know the other editors and maybe donate some of your wisdom to some of the conversations. As I said, no one is in charge, so if you have something in mind you would like to see done, please suggest it on the talk page and hopefully others will agree. Please add the project to your watchlist, update your personal user page showing you are a proud member of WikiProject Skepticism. And DIVE in, this is what the work list looks like [3] frightening at first glance, but we have already started chipping away at it.

The Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism/Participants page has gone though a giant change - you may want to update your information. And of course if this project no longer interests you, please remove your name from the participant list, we would hate to see you go, but completely understand.
