Henry Long (1544–1573), de Shingay , Cambridgeshire , fue un político inglés.
Familia
Henry Long nació alrededor de 1544, hijo de Sir Richard Long (c. 1494 – 1546) y Margaret Donnington . El rey Enrique VIII fue su padrino. [1]
Se casó con Dorothy Clarke, hija de Nicholas Clarke de North Weston , Oxfordshire, hijastra de Roger Alford de Hitcham, Buckinghamshire . Tuvieron una hija, Elizabeth (c. 1562-1611), que se casó con William Russell, primer barón Russell de Thornhaugh . [2]
Después de la muerte de Henry en abril de 1573, su viuda se casó con Sir Charles Morison . [3] Dorothy tuvo cuatro hijos con él y murió en 1618.
Carrera
Fue sheriff de Cambridgeshire y Huntingdonshire entre 1569 y 1570. Fue miembro del Parlamento de Inglaterra por Cambridgeshire en 1571. [4]
