The International Council for Philosophy and Humanistic Studies (French: Conseil international de la philosophie et des sciences humaines; ICPHS/CIPSH) is a non-governmental organization within UNESCO. It embraces hundreds of learned societies in the field of philosophy, human sciences and related subjects.[1]
CIPSH was founded at a first General Assembly held in January 1949 upon suggestion by Sir Julian Huxley, the first Director-General of UNESCO. The first president was Jacques Rueff.[2]

El ICPHS publica la revista Diogène / Diogenes en francés e inglés. Fue fundada en 1952 por Roger Caillois . Durante muchos años, Jean d'Ormesson fue el redactor jefe. Los editores jefe actuales son Maurice Aymard y Luca Scarantino. [4] En 2018, ICPHS creó el programa Cátedras CIPSH , diseñado para resaltar y alentar las redes de investigación existentes de centros de investigación en humanidades y atraer una mayor atención a las humanidades en todo el mundo y un mayor reconocimiento de su importancia en la sociedad contemporánea.
