Highest position in the Indonesian National Armed Forces
El comandante de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales de Indonesia ( en indonesio : Panglima Tentara Nasional Indonesia , conocido como Panglima TNI ) es el jefe profesional y el oficial de mayor rango de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales de Indonesia . Responde directamente ante el presidente de Indonesia (el comandante supremo) y el puesto lo ocupa cualquier oficial de cuatro estrellas que haya servido anteriormente como jefe del Estado Mayor del Ejército (KSAD), jefe del Estado Mayor de la Armada (KSAL) o jefe del Estado Mayor de la Fuerza Aérea (KSAU). Como comandante, el titular del cargo tiene el mando y control directos sobre todos los comandos operativos principales de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales de Indonesia, como el Comando Estratégico del Ejército , Kopassus , Cuerpo de Marines de Indonesia , Comandos de Flota, Comandos de Operaciones Aéreas, etc. Según el decreto presidencial 66/2019, un oficial de cuatro estrellas que actúa como Comandante Adjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales de Indonesia sustituye al Comandante, pero a partir de 2024, el cargo sigue vacante. [2] El nombre del cargo ha evolucionado a lo largo de los años, y el nombre actual se finalizó una vez que la Policía Nacional de Indonesia se separó de las Fuerzas Armadas en 1999. [a]
El actual comandante es el general Agus Subiyanto , un oficial del ejército indonesio , que fue investido por el presidente Joko Widodo el 22 de noviembre de 2023.
Responsabilidades
Según el Decreto Presidencial No. 66 de 2019, las responsabilidades del Comandante de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales de Indonesia son: [2]
- Dirigir las Fuerzas Armadas
- Implementar la política de defensa nacional
- Ejercitar la estrategia y las operaciones militares
- Desarrollar las políticas doctrinales
- Ejercicio Proyección del poder de las Fuerzas Armadas para asuntos de operaciones militares
- Ejercitar el desarrollo del poder de las Fuerzas Armadas y mantener la preparación operacional
- Asesorar al Ministro de Defensa sobre la política de defensa nacional.
- provide advice to the Minister of Defense on the Armed Forces' demand fulfillment and other defense components
- provide advice to the Minister of Defense on the development and execution of strategic planning of national resources for national defense matters
- utilize reserve components after mobilized for military operation matters
- utilize supporting components which has been prepared for military operation matters
- exercise other roles and responsibilities entrusted to his office by the Constitution and laws of the Republic
