- Comment My apologies - I missed this before making the changes that I've just done. I think mentioning his birth name in the lead is relevant, especially since he says that family and friends still use it, but I've toned it down a little. We could probably improve the explanation in the body but it is late here and I'm not up to doing it right now. People are stll removing the "Salim" material, many of them appearing to claim that they are doing so under instruction or with the support of Yadav himself. They need to read WP:COI and WP:CENSORED, I think, but if someone can convince me that the material does in fact violate WP:BLP then fair enough. - Sitush, one of the sources we've used here quotes him "It was supposed to be an accorded secret within my family and never meant to come out in public". Another quotes a friend, "Salim is Yadav’s nickname and only his most intimate family calls him that. He would never advertise it."
