Filipino is not for males only. Most pages of public figures on this site are in "Filipino" demonyms. Example pages: Sarah Geronimo, Yeng Constantino, Judy Ann Santos, Sara Duterte, Leni Robredo, Risa Hontiveros, etc. "Filipino" is more formal and natural. While Filipina sounds informal.
