Is this an encyclopedia or a gossip column in a Eurovision fanzine?

esctoday.com seems to be the most reliable of the bunch and seems to have been allowed to stand (e.g. I haven't heard about San Marino playing in 2008 anywhere BUT esctoday). There's a remark ' The Luxembourg Government will therefore hold a debate to discuss the proposals set out on the petition, and the possible return of the country to the contest'. - @Kyle Peake: Thanks very much for the thorough review! Some additional comments below:
  - You should mention the relegation and non-participation was from 1993: I feel that this is already covered by the current wording in the lead (specifically the second sentence of the first paragraph), but if you have any further thoughts on how this could be made clearer then please do let me know.
  - I have added a new source from the Luxembourg Times (new ref 8) to cover the increased participation number.
  - [7] is the ref sourcing the last sentence of the last para rather than [6]: Ref 6 does state Luxembourg's final decade at the Contest saw a swift decline in their results, with the country finishing 20th or lower in 4 of their last 7 Contests. so I believe that this does source the last sentence already (as no more than 25 countries competed within the contests between 1987 and 1993).
  - For your comments on the participation table, as this is a series of articles all with a similar structure I would prefer to retain the semi-finals column. I think it also provides context at a glance that there were no semis between 1956 and 1992, as well as providing the link to Kvalifikacija za Millstreet for the 1993 contest. I do understand your comment around there only being the one event at the moment, hence I removed sortability from these columns for now. Per MOS:REDIR I am also suggesting that the three songs you listed above remain linked, since they do not fail WP:SELFRED.
  - Heads of delegation and creative directors sections have now been moved to prose as suggested.
  - The high copyvio score I believe is mainly due to the inclusion of the Christophe Goossens quote in the Contest history section. As this is a direct quote, and I have used the blockquote template, I believe that besides this there is no copyvio issue. Do let me know if you have any other concerns around this.

Sims2aholic8 Thank you for the response, however you still have some issues to be worked on. The copyvio is still too high from the Christophe Goossens direct quote, change "participation history, and has" → "participation history and has", remove wikilink on France Gall in the Congratulations, remove wikilinks on the articles I identified as redirects in participation overview and wikilink Luxembourgish to itself instead. --K. @Kyle Peake: Thanks for pointing out those additional areas which I missed the first time, almost all of which I believe I have resolved. I have removed the quote entirely, and the copyvio score is now below 20% (the highest of 18% is for a betting company article which repeats similar wording several times). As I said above, with regards to the redirected song articles, there is a case to be made to retain these links per WP:NOTBROKEN; I am also curious as to why you point out those three songs in particular, as there are several other links to redirects within that table and none of these redirects violate WP:SELFRED (the three you mentioned in particular redirect to sub-articles about those yearly participations and not to this article). @Sims2aholic8: Article is long enough and listed as GA same day as DYK nom. Article is well-sourced, presentable, and free from copyvio. All hooks are interesting and sourced. The problem I have with both the nomination and the article is the use of a user-generated blog as a source. This needs to be either replaced in both the article and nomination before approval.
