Susaninsky District

Susaninsky District (Russian: Суса́нинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,050 square kilometers (410 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Susanino.[1] Population: 5,714 (2021 Census);[8] 7,587 (2010 Russian census);[2] 9,184 (2002 Census);[9] 11,165 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Susanino accounts for 52.6% of the district's total population.[8]
