Ryan Kiera Armstrong

Ryan Kiera Armstrong[2] (born March 10, 2010)[3] is an American actress.[4] She is known for her roles as Charlie McGee in the 2022 film Firestarter[5] and Alma Gardner in the television mini-series American Horror Story: Red Tide.[6] She also portrayed Brooke in the Western The Old Way (2023).[7]

Personal life

Armstrong was born to actor Dean Armstrong and Dr. Berta Bacic and is the youngest of five children.[3]

Armstrong made headlines in 2023 when, as a 12-year-old, she was nominated for the 2022 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress for her performance in Firestarter. The nomination was withdrawn following public backlash, and the Golden Raspberry Awards subsequently changed its rules to exclude minors under 18 from future consideration.[8][9]
