Robert Hopton (c.1575-1638) fue un terrateniente y político inglés que se sentó en la Cámara de los Comunes en dos parlamentos entre 1604 y 1622. [1]
Hopton era el hijo mayor de Sir Arthur Hopton de Witham Friary , Somerset y su esposa Rachel Hall, hija de Edmund Hall de Greatford , Lincolnshire. En 1604, fue elegido miembro del Parlamento por Shaftesbury . Aproximadamente entre 1609 y 1617 participó en la construcción de Evercreech House. Fue Sheriff de Somerset durante el año 1618 a 1619. En 1621 fue elegido diputado por Somerset . [2]
