Government ministry of the Republic of Turkey
The Ministry of National Defense (Turkish: Millî Savunma Bakanlığı) is a government ministry office of the Republic of Turkey, responsible for coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government concerned directly with national security and the Turkish Armed Forces. It is headquartered at the Bakanlıklar in Ankara.
The Ministry is responsible for recruitment, procurement, production, logistics, medical care and other tasks in order to prepare the Armed Forces and its personnel for military operations.
The Ministry is headed by the Minister of National Defense, a cabinet-level head who is also a member of the National Security Council and reports directly to the President.
