Georgios Manthatis (Greek: Γεώργιος Μανθάτης; born 11 May 1997) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a winger for Super League club Athens Kallithea.
Manthatis began his career at Olympiacos and broke into the first team in the 2016/17 season as the Reds won the Super League 1 championship and reached the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League, making 18 domestic appearances and nine European appearances.
On 15 December 2016, Manthatis scored the only goal in a Greek Cup preliminary round match against Sparti. It was the first goal with the club in all competitions.[1]
On 18 December 2016, he made his debut in the Super League as a substitute, in a 3–1 home win against Panetolikos. On 21 January 2017, he scored, as a substitute, his first Super League goal in a 2–0 home win game against Xanthi.
He would go out on a series of loans to PAS Giannina,[2] Panionios,[3] Anorthosis,[4] before eventually leaving Olympiacos in 2020.
On 23 December 2020, Manthatis joined Panetolikos.[5] In his debut, he scored helping to a 2–1 home win against OFI.[6]
Manthatis joined AKFC in January 2022. Playing primarily as a right-back, he quickly established himself as a key figure in the team that finished in second place in the 2021–22 season.[7]
In January 2023, AKFC loaned Manthatis to Finnish top flight club KTP.[8] Manthatis would make 17 total league and cup appearances for KTP with one goal and one assist, before being recalled by AKFC in July 2023.[9]
On 15 March 2017, as an Olympiacos youngster Manthatis' international call in Greece national football team was a big surprise by Michael Skibbe for Greece's crucial qualifier next week against Belgium.[10]
