Gharchistan

Medieval region of northwestern Afghanistan

Gharchistan or Gharjistan (Persian: غرجستان, romanized: Gharjistān) was a medieval region on the north bank of the Murghab River, lying to the east of Herat and north of Hari River.^[1]
