Edinburgh North (UK Parliament constituency)

Edinburgh North was a burgh constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1918 to 1983. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) using the first-past-the-post voting system.

Boundaries

1918–1950: The Broughton, Calton, St. Andrew's and St. Stephen's wards of the county of the city of Edinburgh.[2]

1950–1955: The Broughton, Calton and St. Andrew's wards of the county of the city of Edinburgh.[3]

1955–1974: The Broughton, Calton and St. Andrew's wards of the county of the city of Edinburgh, and part of the St. Bernard's ward.[4]

1974–1983: The Broughton, Calton, St. Andrew's and St. Bernard's wards of the county of the city of Edinburgh.[5]
